Founded in 1991 by Tom and Nancy Osborne in order to provide the support and encouragement youth need to graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education, TeamMates currently provides a mentor to over 7,500 youth in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Wyoming. more ...
The Harlan Community TeamMates program was started in the Fall of 2011.
We match students with academic or leadership potential with an adult from the community. Students are nominated by school staff or a parent request. The matches meet during the school day on school property. They do a variety of student-led activities.
We go on 2 field trips each year. In the winter we go to the Creighton Basketball game and in the spring we go to the Henry Doorly Zoo. The ribbon cutting is for the spring zoo trip and as a new member to the Chamber.
