Shelby County has long been known as a destination spot for those traveling through Iowa. With its rich history and its incredible natural resources, it is no wonder that it has been home to Iowa’s top attraction twice in the past few years. Famous for the Elk Horn Danish Windmill, the one of a kind Danish Immigrant museum, its many historic churches and also for its widely known fall festival HarvestFest, Shelby County is a destination that you won’t soon forget.
